Late spring, summer and fall are the best times to visit the Motor City. Summer high temperatures are capable of soaring into the 90s; however, lake breezes cool some parts of the city. Likewise, those same breezes warm parts of the city during the winter months. Generally, summer temperatures are in the 80s, with lows in the 60s. Cold and snowy weather arrives in November and sometimes stays through April.
